Simplifico Score · 1.0–5.0
How we score
The Simplifico Score is an editorial score from 1.0 to 5.0 that we calculate the same way for every listing, using public and verifiable criteria. No provider pays for it and it is not an average of user opinions.
The formula
We start from 2.5 points, add or subtract the points of each criterion the listing meets and round to one decimal. The score never goes below 1.0 or above 5.0.
| Criterion | Points |
|---|---|
| Starting point for every published listingEvery published listing starts from a neutral score. | 2.5 |
| Data verified on the provider's official websiteWe have checked its data (price, terms) on the provider's official website and recorded the date and sources. | +1.0 |
| Data partly verified on official sourcesWe could only check part of the data on official sources. It does not add up with the previous criterion. | +0.5 |
| Has its own Simplifico ReviewWe have written our own analysis: who it suits, limitations, comparison and verdict. | +0.5 |
| Published price with a specific figureThe price shows a figure (for example "€9/month") or is free. "Ask", "tailored" or "not published" do not count. | +0.4 |
| Detailed terms (4 or more features)The listing includes at least four features or terms of its own. | +0.3 |
| Explicitly states there is no minimum contractThe listing explicitly states there is no minimum contract or commitment. | +0.3 |
| Limitations or features mention a minimum contractThe review's limitations or the features mention a minimum contract or commitment. If the information is contradictory, the penalty prevails. | −0.3 |
| Product withdrawn or brand merged into anotherThe product is no longer sold or the brand has merged into another, so the information may be out of date. | −1.0 |
"Simplifico's top pick"
In each category we highlight the listing with the highest score among those with their own Simplifico Review and fully or partly verified data. In a tie, the fully verified one wins, then the one that publishes its price. If none meets the requirements, we do not highlight any.
Score and reviews are not the same
Reviews are real user opinions, moderated before publication. We always show their real number; if a listing has none yet, you will see "No reviews yet". We do not invent, buy or import reviews, and the Simplifico Score is not used as a user rating in structured data for search engines.
Update date
The "Upd." date on each card is the last time the data was checked on official sources; if there is none, the last update of the listing or its Simplifico Review. The score is recalculated automatically when the data changes.
